Dr. Eleanor Jeanne Willis

Dr. Eleanor Jeanne Willis, 85, of Logan, passed away Friday, September 20, 2103 at her residence. She was born February 20, 1928 in Ironton, Ohio, daughter of the late Even H. and Verna Wood Morgan. Eleanor was married for 57 years to Clyde E. Willis, who survives.

She was a retired Botany Professor from Otterbein University in Westerville and she received her Doctorate degree from the University of Illinois.

Eleanor is survived by her husband and special friend, Jane Howdyshell of Logan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Evan Morgan Jr.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Pastor Mike Bender officiating. Entombment will be in Woodland Cemetery, Woodland Abbey Mausoleum in Ironton on Thursday, at 3 P.M. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.
