Maudie Marie Maxwell

Maudie Marie Maxwell, 79, of Albany, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis. She was born December 8, 1933 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Paris and Ina Cook Brown. Maudie was the widow of the late John L. Maxwell Sr.

She is survived by her daughters, Angie Maxwell of McArthur, Linda (John Reiter) Maxwell of Albany, Bonnie (Dale) Maxwell of Chillicothe, Maryland Day of Chillicothe and Diane Easterday of Chillicothe; sons, Robert (Kelly Maxwell) Maxwell of McArthur and John (Mary) Alvis of West Virginia; stepsons, Herb (Joyce) Maxwell of Jackson, Jerry (Kim) Maxwell of Chillicothe and John Maxwell Jr. of Athens; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dorothy Maxwell and Son, Ricky Maxwell.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Monday, October 14, 2013 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim McFadden officiating. Interment will be in Log Pile Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 6-8 P.M.
