Ray C. Chute

Ray C. Chute, 95, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at his residence. He was born April 10, 1918 in Hocking County, son of the late Charles Samuel and Martha Herrold Chute. Ray was married for 68 years to Audrey Lea Harris Chute, who survives.

He was self employed in the oil business all of his life and was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.

Ray is survived by his daughters, Marilyn (Tony) Lane of Aiken, South Carolina, Nancy (Phil) Landes of Logan and Lynn (Tim) Baumgardner of Marysville; grandchildren, Doug (Chris) Carmean, Tanya (David) Brooks, Amy (Scott) Brown and Megan (Mike) Heberling and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Sue Carmean; son-in-law, David Carmean; brothers, Eli and Hugh Chute; sisters, Grace Harden and Ruth Fisher and grandson, Charles Ray Carmean.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, November 9, 2013 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Carolyn Hoskinson officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
