Robert Lee Emrick, age 85 of Lancaster, formerly of Gore, Ohio passed away November 8, 2013 at Pickering House. He was born August 24, 1928 at the Logan Hospital to the late Julia and Franklin Emrick.
Following his graduation from Logan High School he worked 49 years at the local Elberfeld’s Department Store until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, Gore where he served as church pianist and attended Trinity United Methodist in Logan. Bob was a gentle man who loved the Lord and freely shared his faith with others. For many years he and his wife Louann ministered the Logan area community by providing doctor/hospital transportation for those in need.
He is preceded in death by his wife Louann Campbell Emrick of 49 years, sisters Isabelle Drake (John), Dorothy, and brother The Reverend Wendell W. Emrick. He is survived by sister-in-law Mary E. Emrick of Lancaster, nephew Terry A. Emrick (Janie) of Findlay, Ohio, nieces Patricia E. Kennedy (Jeff), Fort Wayne, IN. and Susan K. Cattran (David), Lancaster, Ohio, 7 great nieces and nephews, and 1 great-great niece.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second Street, Logan with Rev. Charles Eagle officiating. Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00AM until time of services.
