Elvyra "Vi" T. Glenn

Elvyra T. “Vi” Glenn, 86, of Canal Winchester, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. She was born August 5, 1927 in Doanville, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles Thompson and Dorothy Williams Collins.

Vi retired from The Ohio State University, was a longtime member of Haydenville United Methodist Church, attended Brice United Methodist Church and had many friends at Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her sons, William “Rick” (Beth) Glenn of Ostrander, Mike (Mary) Glenn of Northville, Michigan and Carey (Teressa) Glenn of Logan; daughters, Cathey (Greg) Weinfurtner of Albany, Ohio, Mary (Tim) Presley of West Columbia, South Carolina and Martha (Curt) Fountain of Williston, South Carolina; seventeen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Thompson.

Funeral services will be held 12 P.M., Saturday, November 23, 2013 in the Haydenville United Methodist Church, 16798 Haydenville Rd., Haydenville, with Rev. Ricci Arthur officiating. Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, on Friday, from 5-8 P.M. and on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Elvyra T. “Vi” Glenn, to the Haydenville United Methodist Church P.O. Box 111, Haydenville, Ohio 43127.
