George H. Buhrts

George H. Buhrts, 93, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Kindred Care and Rehabilitation Center in Logan. He was born August 14, 1920 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Frederick and Marie Matilda Sheffel Buhrts. George was married to the late Mary K. Clark Buhrts.

He was a retired diesel mechanic and attended The Peoples Church.

George is survived by his son, Herbie (Norma) Buhrts of Ft. Myers, Florida; grandchildren, Ely, Joseph and Max Buhrts, Sherry Morgan, Mary Amastaugh and Kendra Berk; several great grandchildren and a sister, Charlotte Beavan of West Virginia.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Eugene Hoplite and ten siblings.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, November 23, 2013 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Charles Fidler officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
