Margaret Mae Kishler, 87, of Junction City, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 at Kindred Care and Rehabilitation Center in Logan. She was born July 26, 1926 in Logan, daughter of the late Howard D. and Anna J. Waldron Brooks. Margaret was the widow of the late Charles L. Kishler. They were married for 56 years.
Along with her husband, she owned and operated Kishler Trucking and Mining. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church and the Friendship Methodist Women’s Society. Margaret was a member of Logan High School class of 1944 and enjoyed daily conversations and laughter with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Karon L. (Jay) Nihiser of Logan; grandchildren, Jason (Adrienne) Nihiser of Logan and Heather (Scott) Mangold of Delaware; great grandchildren, Ella, Ava and Grant Nihiser and Collyns, Campbell and Channing Mangold; a brother, William Brooks of Logan; a sister, Shirley (John) Switzer of Logan; sisters-in-law, Frances Stimmel of Logan and Laura Jean Brooks of Logan and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her brothers, Leroy, Howard “Duke” and Clarence Brooks; sisters, Mary Brooks Freeman and Sharon Rose Brooks Toney and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Brooks.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Friday, December 6, 2013 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Rick Bennington officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Methodist Church Cemetery, Perry County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 5-8 P.M. and on Friday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Margaret Mae Kishler, to The Hocking Hills Senior Center, 187 S. Spring St., Logan, Ohio 43138.
