Lucinda "Cindy" Ellen Irwin

Lucinda Ellen “Cindy” Irwin, 63, of Glouster, passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at her residence. She was born October 19, 1950 in Jacksonville, daughter of the late Ray and Katherine Safreed Gillott. Cindy was married to Tim Irwin, who survives.

She was a retired records management specialist at Ohio University in Athens. Cindy was a member of the Eastern Star in Glouster, a member of the Jacksonville United Methodist Church, a former school board member for the Trimble Local School District and the former director for the Glouster Community Development Corporation.

Cindy is survived by her sons, Cody (Kelly) Lewis of West Richland, Washington, Rich Dooley of Glouster, Cory (Heather) Lewis of Pomeroy and Cale (Shelley) Lewis of Glouster; daughter, Sarah Irwin of Glouster; grandchildren, Colton, Caden, Kassidy, Brandon, Tyler, Uriah, Calvary, Aaron, Sydney, Mason and Cooper; brother, Denny (Wilma) Gillott of Chillicothe; sisters, Sherry (Chris) Downs of Glouster and Wendy (Steve) Banik of Glouster and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandchild, Skyler Lewis and brothers, Ed and Ron Bolin.

Friends may call Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 4-8 P.M. at the Bishopville Church of Christ, 6555 S. State Route 78, Glouster. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main St., Glouster.
