Marcia P. Primes

Marcia P. Primes, 66, of Nelsonville, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 at her residence. She was born September 21, 1947 in Logan, the daughter of the late Paul and Marcia Dexter Conrad. She was married to Jerry Primes, who survives.


Marcia was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nelsonville and retired from Goodyear in Logan. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who will forever be missed.


In addition to her husband, Jerry, she is survived by her children, Marco Primes of Nelsonville, Diane (Eddie) Morris and Denise (Mike) Henley both of Vallejo, CA, Evette Primes of Sacramento, CA, Denika Straughter of Mississippi and Robin Primes of Massachusetts; 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brothers, Dexter Conrad of Nelsonville, Mike (Mary) Conrad of Logan, Bob (Laurie) Davis of Buchtel; sisters, Linda McDonald of Nelsonville, Debbie (Isaac) Hinton of Columbus, Candy (Roger) Ellison of Pataskala and Toni (AJ) Saunders of Columbus; sister-in-law, Evelyn Conrad of Lancaster and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


In addition to her parents, Marcia was preceded in death by a son, Raylyn Primes; brothers, Brett and Paul Conrad and her stepmother, Susie Conrad.


A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville with Rev Ronald Chunn officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pantry or Building Fund at First Baptist Church, PO Box 145, Nelsonville, Ohio 45764.
