Mary Ann Mays Violette

Mary Ann Mays Violette, 84, of Wheelersburg, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. She was born September 30, 1929 in Columbus, daughter of the late Albert Franklin and Erma Elizabeth Bibler Mays.

She formerly worked at Federal Glass in Columbus.

Mary Ann is survived by her son, Jerry Lee Mays of Chillicothe; two grandsons; a brother, Homer Mays of Wilmington, North Carolina; sister, Barbara (Glen) Defoe of Wheelersburg, Ohio; aunt, Dorothy Mays of Grove City and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Billy Allen Violette.

Funeral services will be held 12 P.M., Monday, January 6, 2014 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim McFadden officiating. Interment will be in Lebanon Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur on Monday, one hour prior to the service.
