Donald L. Wolf Jr., 64, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was born February 17, 1949, in Columbus, son of Ruth Jones Wolf of Columbus and the late Donald L. Wolf Sr. He was married to his Queen, Karen Ballard Wolf, who survives.
Don was an RN in the Emergency Department at Doctors Hospital Nelsonville, a Deacon at the First Presbyterian Church in Nelsonville and a Veteran of the United States Air Force, where he was an x-ray tech, during the Vietnam era. He loved the Art of Nursing and was a kind, caring and loving man. He was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather and a lifelong Cleveland Browns and OSU Buckeye fan. Don was born with a true entrepreneurial spirit and used that wherever he could for the benefit of others including starting the HealthPro Ambulance service. He loved traveling the world and was blessed enough to have made a second home in Mexico for a few months each year.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Roy Wolf of Hilliard and Janine Wolf of Alexandria, Va.; step children, Mike Dress of Nelsonville and Sabrina Dress of Clearwater, FL; grandchildren, Jameson, Talyah, Ian, Tyler and one on the way; brother, Chuck Wolf of Columbus; sisters, Carolyn (Rob) DePalma and Diane Wolf both of Columbus.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a half sister, Nancy Venrick; a nephew, Michael DePalma and a niece, Nicole Wolf.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 6, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church, 69 E. Washington St., Nelsonville with Rev Peter Galbraith officiating. Friends may call Sunday from 5-8 PM at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville
