Susan M. Burgess, 52, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus. She was born June 30, 1961 in Whitehall, daughter of the late Mark and Sharon Snyder Burgess Jr.
She was the owner of E Transcription Solutions. Susan was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church and also a board member of the Smith Chapel Food and Clothing Mission. She was a life member of the AMVETS. Susan was a member of the Logan Moose Lodge, she founded the Hocking Hills Inspire Shelter and everyone that knew her knew that she was an avid pet lover.
Susan is survived by her Aunt, Londa (Mike) Hamilton Robinson of Logan; great aunt, Dorothy Pierson of Logan; several cousins; special friends and caregiver, Bob Majors of Rockbridge; longtime special friend, Tina (Jim) Warthman of Logan and her pets that were her best friends, Sophie, Simon, Lucy, Jiffy and Molly.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, February 8, 2014 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Ricci Arthur officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, one hour prior to the services.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Susan M. Burgess to the Hocking Hills Inspire Shelter, P.O. Box 1108, Logan, Ohio 43138.
