Anne D. Pollard, 78, of McArthur, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at Wexner Heritage Village, Zusman Hospice, in Columbus. She was born June 11, 1935 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Earl and Marion Miller Houseknecht. Anne was the widow of the late Arnold Pollard.
Anne was a member of Zaleski Free Will Baptist Church, an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and a founding member and officer of the County Roads Quilt Guild in Vinton County.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie (Douglas Kinder) Pollard of McArthur and Rachel (Steve) Jackson of St. Louis, Missouri; a son, David (Debra) Pollard of Albany; a grandson, Daniel Pollard and brothers, Theodore (June) Houseknecht of Pennsylvania and Earl (Kay) Houseknecht Jr. of New York.
Private graveside services were held in Putnam Chapel Cemetery, Vinton County, with Rev. Ferrell Rood officiating. No calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
