John D. Mccarty

John D. McCarty, 68, of Rockbridge, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at his residence. He was born September 18, 1945 in Meigs, County, son of the late Oscar James and Olga Gibbs McCarty. John was married to Pamela M. Harden Eggleston McCarty, who survives.

He was a retired self employed electrician and an Army Veteran.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his sons, Jay and Shawn McCarty; stepsons, Jeff and Drew Eggleston; daughters, Shannon Hubbard and Jill McCarty; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren and brothers, Dale and Ronnie McCarty.

He was preceded in death by several brothers and one sister.

John requested no services. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
