Eva Mae Mcmillan

January 18, 1922 — March 1, 2014

Eva Mae McMillan, 92, of Chauncey, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 at her residence. She was born January 18, 1922 in Lurig, Ohio, daughter of the late Everett and Grace Young Haines. Eva was the widow of the late Wyatt McMillan.

She delivered the Athens Messenger for 10 years and loved cooking. She also retired from Goodyear in Logan and formerly worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton.

Eva is survived by her son, William (Shirley) McMillan of Glouster; daughters, Joyce McMillan of Nelsonville, Grace Santiago of New Plymouth and Mary (Doug Hoyd) Lockhart of Chauncey; several grandchildren; many great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Orville and John Haines and sisters, Mary Greene and Janie Gaston.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Thursday, March 6, 2014 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Rev. Ernie Perkins officiating. Interment will be in New Marshfield Cemetery, New Marshfield. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
