Geraldine L. "Geri" Bradley

Geraldine L. “Geri” Bradley, 66, of Buchtel, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at her residence. She was born March 13, 1947 in Haydenville, the daughter of the late Willard and Hazel Rush Smathers. She was married to Thomas Bradley, who survives, for 42 years.

Geri retired from Nelsonville-York High school where she taught English for 33 years. She also worked at Tri County Joint Vocational School as an OGT tutor and was a member of the Buchtel United Methodist Church.


In addition to her husband, Tom, Geri is survived by her daughter, Annette (Jeff) Talbert of Nelsonville; 4 grandchildren, Abbie, Jakob, Zachary and Davonne and 2 great grandchildren, Chloe and Owen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Diane Smathers and son J.D. Bradley.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 7, 2014 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, Ohio 45764 with Pastor David Shoemaker officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends and family may call Thursday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
