Carolyn S. Martin

Carolyn S. Martin, 58, of Nelsonville, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at her residence. She was born February 24, 1956 in Athens, the daughter of Donald E. Johnson and the late Lois E. Blackford Johnson. She was the widow of the late Henry Lee Martin.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Julie (Shawn) Powell of Logan and Cass (Eric) Strawn of Nelsonville; 6 grandchildren, Chelsey, Lacey, Lindsey, Ashley, Jesi and Codey; 1 great grandchild, Braylen; brother, Don E. (Renee) Johnson Jr of Texas; sisters, Betty (Jeff) Traugh of Carbon Hill, Sheryl (David) Gretz of Logan and Carolyn “Cissy” Johnson of Newark

Carolyn’s wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, March 21, 2014 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, Ohio 45764 with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating.
