Hiram Roger Pierce

Hiram Roger Pierce, 63, of McArthur, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.  He was born August 25, 1950 in Vinton County, son of Polly Elizabeth “Betty” Worrix Pierce, of McArthur and the late Hiram “Dee” Pierce.  Roger was married to Sharon Remy Pierce, who survives.

He was a retired truck driver.

Roger is survived by his sons, Roger (Paula) Pierce of Wellston and Tim (Chastity Kidd) Pierce of Allensville; daughter, Tina (Shawn) Leach of McArthur; fourteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother, Ralph (Samantha) Pierce of Ray; sister, Margie Bosdell of Ashville and father-in-law, Donald Remy.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Brett Pierce and brothers, Matthew Wayne Pierce and Daniel Curtis Pierce.

Funeral services will be held 6 P.M., Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in the McArthur Church of The Nazarene, 523 N. Market St., McArthur, with Pastor William Roth officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.  Friends may call at the McArthur Church of The Nazarene on Wednesday, from 4 P.M. until the time of the service.
