Electa M. Teal

Electa M. Teal, 85, of Trimble, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at the the Kobacker House in Columbus. She was born July 20, 1928 in Hocking County, the daughter of the late Walter M. and Nellie M. Jeffers Forrest. She was the widow of the late Melvin Teal.

She was a member of the Nelsonville Church of the Nazarene, a member of the Silver Spurs line dancers and an active member of the senior center. She also enjoyed chair volleyball.

Electa is survived by her sons Charles (Judy) Teal of Hope, Arkansas, Melvin (Sheila) Teal of Logan, Jack (Karen) Teal of Lancaster, Jerry (Jackie) Teal of Nelsonville, Roy A. Teal of Athens; daughters Connie (Bob) Stoneburner of Lancaster, Nellie (Charles) Keiffer of Logan, Betty (Jessie) Barnhart of Trimble and Brenda (Don) Clark of Albany; 19 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Electa was preceded in death by her daughter Judy Sheets; 3 grandchildren Roy Teal Jr., Jerry Lee Teal and Scott Barnhart; and her brothers Harley, Walter, Ralph and Richard Forrest.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, March 28, 2014 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, Ohio 45764 with Rev. Ed True officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery New Addition, Nelsonville. Friends and family may call Friday from 12-2 PM at the funeral home.
