Richard A. "Dick" Loudner

Richard A. “Dick” Loudner, 73, of Nelsonville, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014 at his residence.  He was born January 3, 1941 in Athens, son of the late Fred and Goldie Smith Loudner.  He was married to Sandra “Sandy” Lee Koon Loudner, who survives, for 48 years.

Dick retired from Monks Heating and Cooling and was an avid race car driver.

In addition to his wife, Sandy, he is survived by two daughters, Laura (Allen) Monk and Julia (Tim) Shutts both of Nelsonville; 5 grandchildren, Alecia Monk, Alania (Michael) Harper, Robby Shutts all of Nelsonville, Robecca (Brice) Johnson of Buchtel and Timmy Shutts of Nelsonville; 6 great grandchildren, Bella, Anna, Lexi, Emma, Heidi and Roman; brothers, Bob Loudner and Fred (Sandy) Loudner both of Nelsonville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph and Leroy Loudner.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Dick Covert officiating.  Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery New Addition, Nelsonville.  Friends may call Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service, at the funeral home.
