Howard Duane Peters

Howard Duane Peters, 71, of Albany, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.  He was born December 10, 1942 in Tiffin, Ohio, son of the late Ralph R. and Adeline Turner Peters.  Howard was married to Ebba Florea Peters, who survives.

He retired from General Dynamics in Lima, Ohio and was a Vietnam Marine Veteran.

Howard is survived by his sons, Samuel Duane (Jill) Peters of Bloomdale, Ohio and Jason Howard (Kim Williams) Peters of Mississippi; daughter, Marie Ann (Danny) Bear of North Baltimore, Ohio; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a brother, Don Peters of Arizona and sisters, Mary Sopher of Findley, Virginia Stapley of Carey, Ohio and Esther Burns of Fostoria, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jim, Bob, Gaylord and Red Peters.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  No calling hour will be observed.  Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
