Juanita Parsley, 81, of Logan, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at The Pickering House in Lancaster. She was born April 28, 1933 in Mingo County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Walter and Rosa Canterberry Dillon. Juanita was the widow of the late John Parsley.
She retired from Rocky Shoes and Boots in Nelsonville and was a member of the Church of God.
Juanita is survived by her sons, Richard (Wanda) Parsley of Louisa, Kentucky and John Robert (Glenna) Parsley of Columbus; a daughter, Mary (Harold) Chaffin of Logan; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a brother, Walter Dillon Jr.; sisters, Gracie Sturgell, Dicie Charles, Nora Conn and Maude Tomlin and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Hopper.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, May 15, 2014 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Pastor Willie Booth officiating. Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 6-8 P.M.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Juanita Parsley to The Pickering House, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
