Edna I. Mullins, 94, of Hamden, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at her residence. She was born April 4, 1920 in Pike County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Enos and Virgie Thacker Bertrand. Edna was the widow of the late John B. Mullins.
She attended Maggies Home Church in Dundas.
Edna is survived by her daughter, Virgie Rose of Hamden; grandsons, Anthony G. (Judy) Rose and Gary T. (Sandy) Rose, both of Hamden; great grandchildren, Kelcie Rose of Chillicothe, Ashley Rose of McArthur and Hannah Rose of Hamden and a sister, Ruby Bailey of North Carolina; three nieces; three nephews and a good friend, Gloria Eberts.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, John Brent Mullins and brothers, Charlie, Woodrow and Frank Bertrand.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Maggies Home Church, Dundas with Elder Donald Mullins and Elder Hank Forgey officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at Maggies Home Church on Sunday, one hour prior to the service.
