Lucille L. Boster Perry Macomber

June 17, 1919 — June 12, 2014

Lucille L. Boster Perry Macomber, 94, of Carroll, formerly of Radcliff, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Crestview Manor Nursing Home in Lancaster. She was born June 17, 1919 in Alice, Ohio, daughter of the late Chancey and Elsie Russell Boster. Lucille was the widow of the late Donavan Macomber.

She formerly worked at Belmont Casket Company in Columbus. Lucille was a member of the Wilkesville United Methodist church where she was a Sunday school teacher and also a Lay Delegate at the annual Conference. She headed up several activities at local churches in the area. Lucille was a charter member at the Vinton Twp. Garden Club for over 50 years, she was a co- Founder of CARE (Christian Activity Reaching Everyone) in McArthur, she was a 4-H Leader and she was very active in Vinton Co. Community Activities.
In serving her Lord and Savior, she was blessed with a kind spirit and remarkable energy and work ethic. She was involved in countless activities which benefitted her community in many ways. She touched more lives than she could ever imagined. Her caring and thoughtfulness will be long remembered.

Lucille is survived by her son, Richard Owen (Karen) Perry of Radcliff; daughters, Barbara Pugh of Carroll and Scarlett Cline of Lancaster; grandchildren, William (Theresa) Pugh, Teri (Shawn) Lent, Cynthia (Timothy) Ritchey Lisa Cline, Teresa Sowards, Rick Perry, Kevin Perry, Carmen Dickson, Paula Brown, Amanda Kerr; twenty-three great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren and sister, Evelyn Ayres of San Diego, California.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Owen Floyd Perry; grandson, John Wesley Pugh and eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, June 19, 2014 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Pastor Charles Flesher officiating. Interment will be in Vinton Memorial Park Cemetery, Vinton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 6-8 P.M.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Lucille L. Boster Perry Macomber to CARE United Methodist Outreach, 395 E. High St., McArthur, Ohio 45651.
