Michael W. Scott, 68, of Chillicothe, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014 at Heartland of Chillicothe. He was born July 7, 1945 in Vinton County, son of the late Howard and Mabel Ratcliff Scott. Michael was married to the late Carol Seitz Scott.

He retired from Chillicothe City Schools and was also employed at Wear – Ever Aluminum in Chillicothe. Michael was a Vietnam Army Veteran and was a beloved part of many church congregations.

He is survived by two sons, Dwayne Scott of Frankfort and Rev. Robbie (Bridget) Scott of The Plains; two grandchildren, Hannah and Levi Scott; brothers, Neil Scott of Londonderry, Curtis Scott of Chillicothe, Harold Scott of Tennessee, Jerry Scott of Akron and Ralph Scott of Allensville and sisters, Margery Atwood of Arizona and Ann Molihan of North Carolina.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2014 in the Pleasant Valley Trinity Church, 52893 Old Rt. 50 W., Londonderry, Ohio 45647 with Rev. Robbie Scott officiating. Interment will be in Concord Cemetery, Chillicothe, with military graveside services being conducted by the McArthur VFW Post #5299. Friends may call at the church on Thursday, from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.

Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
