Michael Dale Specht

Michael Dale Specht, 55, of Nelsonville, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born July 5, 1958 in Oceanside, California, son of Marilyn “Sue” Bownes Specht of Nelsonville and the late Ray Specht.

Michael was an Army Veteran.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Russell Andrew Specht of Nelsonville; brothers, Johnny R. (Deana) Specht of Pendleton, South Carolina and Bradley E. (LeeAnn) Specht of Logan; sisters, Tammy S. (John S.) Chambers of Logan and Kimberly K. Rutter of Nelsonville and his aunt and uncle, Carol and Mason Bownes of Nelsonville.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Friday, June 20, 2014 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Betty Brooks officiating. Interment will be in New Plymouth Cemetery, New Plymouth, with military graveside services being conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
