Thomas E. Bruce

Thomas E. Bruce, 50, of Jacksonville, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens. He was born June 26, 1964 in Nelsonville, son of the late Benjamin Bruce and Jennie Hill Bruce. He was married to Debra Munn Bruce, who survives.

Tom’s family and friends remember him as working hard and appreciating the simple things in life. He listened daily to viewpoint on channel 5 and loved listening to the rain while sitting on his front porch. Before his disability, he was passionate about gardening and sharing stories.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Nicole Bruce of Jacksonville; sisters, Sandi (Mike) Krivesti of Athens and Audrey (Dana) Milliron of Glouster; brothers, Ben Bruce of Jacksonville and Chris Bruce of Findlay; brother-in-law, Dwight Munn of Jacksonville; sister-in-law, Kathy (James Grossner) Munn of Grove City; many nieces and nephews including Justin (Missy) Milliron of Circleville and Austin Milliron of Glouster; special cousins, Scott and Carol Chapman of Millfield and Pat Holcomb of Trimble.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Dwight and Julia Munn and his dog, Rudy

A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, July 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Athens Memory Gardens, Albany. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main St., Glouster.
