Wendell K. Phillips

Wendell K. Phillips, 93, of Logan, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at The Pickering House in Lancaster. He was born August 11, 1920 in Hocking County, son of the late Murray S. and Della Krinn Phillips. Wendell was married to Selma I. Norris Phillips, who survives.

He was a farmer, worked at Keynes Brothers and National Supply. Wendell was also an oil field driller, a manager at Camp Oterbein and then he retired to enjoy his family and life. He was a WWII Air Force Veteran.

He is survived by his sons, Robert W. (Cheryl Ann) Phillips and Curtis W. (Tesa) Phillips both of Logan; daughter, Wenda Phillips Armstrong of Logan; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a sister, Madge Klinger of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; nieces, Pat, Kay and Margie and a nephew, Harold.

In addition to his parents, Wendell was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Miller; son, Kent Alan Phillips; grandson, Curtis R. Phillips; brother, Murray Phillips Jr. and sister, Charlisse Scott.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Rick Bennington officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 6-8 p.m.
