Kathy Lou Gibson Odum

Kathy Lou Gibson Odum, 62, of McArthur, formerly of Nelsonville, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. She was born March 5, 1952 in Nelsonville, daughter of the late Joseph and Eula Lee Ward Horvath. Kathy was married to Patrick Odum, who survives.

She was a member of the McArthur Eagles Ladies Auxiliary AERIE #2279.

Kathy is survived by her stepdaughters, Connie Lou Odum and Keely Ann Odum, both of Hilliard; step grandchildren, Cassie and Colton Odum; sisters, Carolyn Sue Botts of Nelsonville, Joan (Henry) Simms of Crossville, Alabama and Gina (Dean) Russell of Nelsonville; parents-in-law, Irvin and Josephine Gibson and sisters and brother-in-law, Connie (Bob) Bowers, Reda (Harold) Fowler and Randy (Marcy) Gibson all of Coshocton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Gibson and brother-in-law, Jim Botts.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, July 24, 2014 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 5-8 P.M., with a Ladies Auxiliary service being held at 7 P.M.
