Betty Jo Johnston

Betty Jo Johnston, 82, of McArthur, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at her residence. She was born December 12, 1931 in Iaeger, West Virginia, daughter of the late Jerry and Essie Cline Walker. Betty was the widow of the late Hyle Johnston.

She retired from Austin Powder Company after 20 years.

Betty is survived by her sons, Gene (Debbie) Johnston of Ray, Mark (Linda) Johnston of McArthur and Randy (Diana) Johnston of McArthur; daughters, Connie Green of Athens and Angela Johnston of McArthur; eight grandchildren and a sister, Hazel.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Monday, July 28, 2014 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 6-8 p.m.
