Lora Dawn Newman

Lora Dawn Newman, 43, of Rockbridge, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 as a result of a tractor accident in Blue Rock, Ohio. She was born May 11, 1971 in Columbus, daughter of James N. and Sharon K. Moore Scruggs, of Bremen. Lora was married for 26 years to Darrel Lee Newman Sr., who survives.

She was a member of the Logan Church of The Nazarene.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lora is survived by her daughters, Fauna Newman of Zanesville, Ani Newman and Brittney Newman, both of the home; stepson, Darrel Lee Newman Jr. of Lancaster; grandchildren, Anna and Xavier Newman; a brother, Robert (Corinna) Sisson of Amanda and sisters, Catherine Midcap of Bremen and Jamie (Travis) Mace of Bremen.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Christina Marie Scruggs and grandson, Jeremiah Nathen Newman.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in the Logan Church of The Nazarene, 650 Walhonding Ave., Logan, with Pastor Tom Gates II officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Cemetery, Hocking County. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m.

Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
