Donald Fredrick Peters

Donald Fredrick Peters, 85, of New Plymouth, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio. He was born October 9, 1928 in New Plymouth, son of the late Walter M. and Mahala Aplin Peters. Donald was married to the late Mary L. Stewart Peters.

He was life member of the Delta Masonic Lodge #207 F&AM in McArthur and was a Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Donald is survived by his children, Deborah (David) Walters of McArthur, Dawn (Ben) Crow of McArthur and John F. Peters of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Adam Crow of McArthur and Jennifer Colegate of Williamsburg, Ohio; great grandchildren, Allyson and Evan Colegate; a brother, Walter (Patsy) Peters Jr. of Lincoln Park, Michigan and sisters, Ernestine Huntley of McArthur and Maxine Ours of Castalia, Ohio.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Williamson and brother, Glenn Peters.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, August 11, 2014 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will be in New Plymouth Cemetery, New Plymouth. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. A Masonic service will be held at 12 p.m.
