Rudolph Anthony Levandofsky

Rudolph Anthony Levandofsky, 73, of Buchtel, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at his residence. He was born June 28, 1941, in Buchtel, son of the late Adolph Paul and Esther Barletta Levandofsky.

Rudy graduated from Buchtel High School and with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio University. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army where he was a paratrooper and infantryman while stationed in Korea.

He is survived by children, Jason Anthony Levandofsky of Wilmington and Gretchen Leigh Levandofsky (Andrew) Davies of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Jack Anthony and David Alexander Levandofsky, Arleigh Paige Walton, Airyn Jenifer Goedde and Madison Patricia Davies; brother, Christopher Levandofsky of Buchtel; sisters, Marlene Levandofsky Gallatin and Diane Levandofsky Garber both of Dayton and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael A. Levandofsky and a nephew Michael C. Levandofsky.

Inurnment will be conducted at St. Patrick Cemetery, Buchtel, at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
