Clyde E. Willis Jr.

Clyde E. Willis Jr., 90, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at his residence. He was born June 25, 1924 in Cambridge, Ohio, son of the late Clyde E. and Irene McPeek Willis Sr. He was married to the late Eleanor J. Morgan Willis.

Clyde was US Army veteran of World War II. He attended the University of Illinois and received his Master’s Degree from Ohio University. He was also a member of the Weaton Club and the Heratio Alger Society.

He is survived by his sister, Patty (Don) Robinson, of Plainview, TX; several nieces and nephews; close friend and care giver Jane Howdyshell, of Logan.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Willis and sister Loretta Burlingane.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. Mike Bender officiating. Entombment to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
