Myrna Jean Hood

Myrna Jean Hood, 88, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Logan Health Care Center. She was born August 29, 1926 in Miami County, Ohio, daughter of the late Clarence M. and Treva Welbaum Beery. Myrna was the widow of the late James E. Hood.

She retired from Brooks Shoe Company in Nelsonville, was a member of Venus Chapter #76 OES and was a former volunteer at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan.

Myrna is survived by her sons, Terry (Jean) Hood of Logan and James R. Hood of Bronston, Kentucky; grandchildren, Debbie (Dan) Weinsziehr, Mike (Trina) Hood and Keith (Crystal) Hood; seven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. No visitation will be observed. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
