Betty Jane Phillips

Betty Jane Phillips, 84, of McArthur, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 at her residence. She was born December 17, 1929 in Jan Jose, California, daughter of the late Thomas Tonkin and Edna Murray Jackson. Betty was the widow of the late Lawrence P. Phillips.

She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Rigsby of Ash Flat, Arkansas and Bonnie Jean (special friend, Rose Lucero) Rhodes of McArthur; sons, Harold (Sandra) Phillips of Roswell, New Mexico and James Jackson of California; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a sister, Gerri Quirk of California.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur. Betty’s wishes were to be cremated following the visitation.
