Arthur Raymond Leonard, 92, of Logan, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. He was born January 9, 1922 in Hocking County, son of the late William Leonard and Lula Mae Woods Baum. Arthur was married to Flora Butterbaugh Leonard, who survives.
He retired from Logan Clay Products and was a WWII Army Veteran. Arthur was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in good standing with the congregation in Logan, Ohio.
He is survived by his son, Raymond Edward Leonard of Logan; daughters, Diane Louise (Paul) Caito of Somerset and Kathy Harden of Union Furnace; stepsons, Rodney A. Tarlton and Richard Tarlton; stepdaughters, Rosie Tarlton LeMaster, Robin Tarlton McCloud, Connie Tarlton Vargo and Rachel Tarlton Soards and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his first wife, Elsie Collins Leonard; brothers, Guy and James Leonard and sisters, Dorothy Mowery, Myra Clark, Ethel Teal and Evelyn Clark.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, October 25, 2014 in Kingdom Hall, 30180 Blosser Rd., Logan, with David Seeley officiating. Inurnment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan, at a later date. No visitation will be held.
