Elizabeth Jane Hanning

Elizabeth Jane Hanning, 89, of Millfield, passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 at The Laurels of Athens. She was born September 23, 1925 in Millfield, the daughter of the late Guy W. and Zella A. Roberts White. She was the widow of the late Howard C. Hanning, who passed away in 1990.

Jane was a member of the First Christian Church-Disciples of Christ in Nelsonville and was treasurer of the church for many years. She also retired from Lawhead Press and as Dover Township Clerk.


Jane is survived by her son, Jon (Susan) Hanning of Millfield; granddaughter, Sarah Jane (Jamie) Rollins; aspecial cousin, Linda Erdy of Glouster and special friends, Kevin Cantor and Irene Foster.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Vern White and an infant brother, Basil Francis White.


Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Hilltop Cemetery in Millfield, with Pastor Jon Hanning officiating. No visitation will take place. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
