Kay I. Konkler

Kay I. Konkler, age 65 of Rockbridge, passed away Friday, November 14, 2014 at Logan Health Care Center.  She was born February 15, 1949 in Compton, CA, daughter of the late Clarence and Kathryn Willey Staley.  She was married to Kenneth E. Konkler, who survives.

Kay was retired from Carborundum.  She was a member of the Women of the Moose and was also a 4-H Advisor for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth E. Konkler; sons, James E. (Stacie) Konkler and Richard Smyers, both of Lancaster; daughter, Christy (Chad) Schmidt, of Westerville; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Lloyd Staley, of New Mexico.  She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Roger Staley.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Pastor Mike Robinson officiating.  Interment to follow at Knollwood Cemetery.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a Women of the Moose service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
