Dana Hartshorn

Alcadana Eileen “Dana” Hartshorn, 83 of Logan went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Logan Health Care Center. She was born January 30, 1931, in Vinton County, daughter of the late Arthur Baker and Maud Pleukharp Rheinscheld .

She was a member of the First Church Praise and Worship Center in Logan. Dana was a hard worker and loved her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis (Tim) Brown and Gabby (Steve) Leasure, both of Logan; brother, Floyd (Naomi) Rheinscheld, of Mt. Sterling; sisters, Juanita (Paul) Ringhiser, of Chillicothe, Mavis (Darrell) Cronin, of Florida, and Mary Ebbrecht, of Circleville; sister-in-law, Grace Rheinscheld, of Indiana; several nieces and nephews.

Dana was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chester Sr.; son, Chester Ray Jr.; grandson, Curtis; 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral service and Celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the First Church Praise and Worship Center, 30750 Lake Logan Rd., with Pastor Michael Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Vinton County.  Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, and 1 hour prior to the service Wednesday at the Church.
