Olive Mae Helber

Olive Mae Helber, 95, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at The Carlin House in Logan. She was born May 26, 1919 in Hocking County, daughter of the late Charles and Ida Huston Rarrick. Olive was the widow of the late Gilbert F. Helber.

Olive was a member of the Marion Grange, the Hocking County Historical Society, the Hocking County Genealogical Society and Twig 1 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Joyce Helber Zeyer of Pickerington; nephews, Charles Schrader of Reynoldsburg and Howard Sigler of Logan and a niece, Patty Thompson of Logan.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Helber and sisters, Dorothy Sigler, Mary Mundy and Freda Schrader.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, December 19, 2014 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. James Mathias officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
