Larry Eugene Brown

Larry Eugene Brown, age 66 of South Sslem, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 at O.S.U. Hospital in Columbus.  He was born April 9, 1948 in Logan, son of the late Richard Brown and Dorothy L. Griffith Brown, of New Plymouth.

He was a US Army veteran and had been self-employed as a painter for many years.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa (James) Queen, of Logan; grandchildren, Kaylea (Justin) Davis, Daniel and Mariah Queen, all of Logan; great grandson, Hayden Davis, of Logan; brothers, Charles Brown, of Lancaster, Rodger (Becky) Brown, of Lancaster, Ronald Brown, of New Plymouth, Robert Brown, of McArthur, and Richard (Mary) Brown, of Bremen; sisters, Kathy (Gary) Youtsey, of Shawnee, Darlene (Mike) Travis, of New Straitsville, Mary (Daniel) Mercer, of Wellston, and Tina (John) Daft, of Creola.

He is preceded in death by his father and sisters, Barbara Ellis and Rose Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Pastor Tom Gates officiating.  Cremation will follow.  Military honors will be provided by the Hocking County Honor Guard.  Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family assist with funeral expenses.
