Jerrold M. Winchell

Jerrold M. Winchell Sr., 61, of Murray City, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Doctors West Hospital in Columbus. He was born March 7, 1953, in Nelsonville, son of the late Sylvester and Thelma Hughes Winchell. He was married to Katrina Martin Winchell, who survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jerrold “Bub” M. Winchell Jr. of Nelsonville; daughter, Brandy (Anthony) Osborne of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Zachary and Jacob Osborne; brothers, Richard Winchell of Gore, John Winchell of Jackson, Virgil Winchell of Jackson; sister, Nancy Winchell Welch of Circleville; mother-in-law, Catherine Martin of Nelsonville and his dog, Izzy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Sherman Winchell and a sister Mary Jane Devol.

Jerrold’s wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church, corner of Chestnut and Harper St., Nelsonville with Pastor Mike Thomas officiating. Friends may call at the church, Sunday, one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
