Devon Edmond Wanat

Devon Edmond Wanat, 60, of McArthur, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2014 at Maple Hills Nursing Home in McArthur. He was born April 13, 1954 in West Virginia, son of the late Hank J. Wanat and Alice C. Hodrus Johnson.

Devon retired from CSX Railroad and was a Navy Veteran.

He is survived by his daughter, Kelci Wanat of Athens; stepson. L.J. Brooks; stepdaughter, Lena Brooks; granddaughter, Kiersten Whiteman of Athens and brother, Lewis Wanat of Albany.

In addition to his parents, Devon was preceded in death by his stepfather, Charles Johnson.

Devons wishes were to donate his body to The Ohio University Willed Body Program. No calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
