William "Whitey" Lloyd White

William Lloyd “Whitey” White, 71, of Chillicothe, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born February 19, 1943 in Bessemer, Alabama, son of the late Buford and Virginia Wilson White. Whitey was married to the late Mary Lou Coleman White.

He was a retired Teachers Aid from Pickaway Ross Vocational School and also retired from Austin Powder Company and RCA. Whitey was a Korean Conflict Air Force Veteran and a member of Pleasant Valley Trinity Church.

He is survived by his daughters, Regenia (Tim) Crago of Greenfield, Ohio and Vanessa (Mike) Starkey of McArthur; grandchildren, Amanda Wells, Amy Crago, Jeff Crago, William Crago and Craig Starkey; great grandchildren, Emily Howland, Lane Wells, Max Starkey, Katlyn, Brittany Dalton and Emma Weller; brothers, Roger, Johnny and Michael White all of Alabama and sisters, Carolyn Stanley of Alabama and Linda Baggett of Mississippi.

In addition to his parents and wife, Whitey was preceded in death by his brother, Pete White and sister, Lois Perry.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, with military graveside services being conducted by the McArthur VFW Post #5299. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 4-8 p.m.
