Dorothy J. Whiteside

Dorothy J. Whiteside, 90, of Logan, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Pickering House, Lancaster. She was born December 18, 1924 in Kanawha County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Edward and Almedia Bostic Sparks.


Dorothy is survived by her children, Roy (Carol) Martin of Logan, George, Frank, James, Sheila, Sue, Lynn, Emogene and Lisa; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents; sons Melvin and Richard and a sister, Josephine.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 16, 2015 at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Highway, New Castle, Delaware, 19720. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the cemetery chapel. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
