Lucille Edna Allen

Lucille Edna Allen, 85, of McArthur, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at her residence. She was born January 22, 1930 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Elias and Angela Lightfoot Perry. Lucille was married to the late Barrett Allen, who passed away in February, 1994.

She retired from ODNR, was a member of Putnam Chapel Church and enjoyed flower gardening.

Lucille is survived by her son, Barrett (Connie) Allen of Groveport; daughters, Carol (Glendon) Hughes of McArthur and Debbie (Matthew) Haybron of McArthur; grandchildren, Eric Jones of McArthur, Angela (Balia) Eldarway of Qatar and Kayla Thrush of Logan; great grandchildren, Brett, Derick and Erin Jones, Amira and Maria Eldarway and Koi Breniser; brother, Raymond (Margie) Perry of Circleville; a sister, Medrith Mace of Jackson and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Kyle Thrush; sisters, Bessie Cottrill, Mildred Dickson, Kathleen Ayers, Velma Davis and Vera Perry; brothers, Glenn and Sherwood Perry; the recent passing of special niece, Marilyn Partee and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. John Starr and Rev. Harrison Starr officiating. Interment will be in Bowen Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 5-8 p.m.
