Nancy M. Lafollette

Nancy M. LaFollette, 88, of Nelsonville, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at The Laurels of Athens. She was born May 15, 1926 in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late Robert and Flossie Gray Whitmore. She was the widow of the late Paul Eugene LaFollette Sr., who passed away in 1985.

Nancy was a retired Florist from Eve’s Flowers in Columbus and Bates Flowers in Gahanna. She attended the Christian Assembly in Columbus and the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Annette (Tom) Bentley of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Michelle (Jason) Andrews of Nelsonville, Christopher (Susan) Schultz of Logan and Dr. Jeromy (Brooke) Schultz of Nelsonville, T.L. ( Cindi) Bentley of New Straitsville, Shawn (Tresa) Bentley and Adam (Amanda) Bentley both of Lancaster; several great grandchildren and several great- great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Paul Eugene Lafollette Jr.

The family would like to thank the staff and aides at The Laurels in Athens and FairHope Hospice for all the care and loving attention during her stay.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, March 2, 2015 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Monday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
