Hazel E. Post

Hazel E. Post, 94, of Dublin, formerly of Nelsonville, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 at the Convalarium of Dublin. She was born September 7, 1920 in Circle Hill, the daughter of the late Russell and Fay Robinson Childress.

Hazel was a Front Room Manager at Stoltz Drug store for many years. She graduated from Chauncey-Dover High School in 1938 where she was President of her class.


She is survived by her son, Roger (Patti) Post of Dublin; grandchildren, Melissa (Bill) Shirey of Upper Arlington, William (Caris) Post of Worthington and Andrew (Megan) Post of Bexley; great grandchildren, Spencer Shirey, Isabella and Asher Post, Dylan and Alexander Post; brothers, James Childress of Michigan and Harold Childress of Toledo and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first great grandchild, Jayden Post; brothers, Harry, Dennis and Gilbert Childress and her sisters, Shirley Childress, Alice Childress and Mary Howard.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, March 27, 2015 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Friday, from 11:00 AM, until the time of service, at the funeral home.
