Dorothy L. Lang

Dorothy L. Lang, 84, of Doanville, passed away Friday, March 28, 2015 at Hickory Creek Nursing Center, The Plains. She was born June 5, 1930 in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late Granville and Flossie Standall Green. She was the widow of the late Walter J. Lang Jr.

Dorothy retired from the Peoples Bank in Nelsonville and was a graduate of Nelsonville High School. She attended the Nelsonville First United Methodist Church for several years.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Amy Lang of Doanville; grandchildren, David and Margie Lang of Doanville, Jessie and Josh Wolfe of Nelsonville and Amanda Day of Athens; great grandchildren, Mikey, Mya, Jacob, Dakota, Braxton, Trey and Trenton.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by a son, David W. Lang and a sister, Ruth Fick.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville with Rev Ernie Perkins officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery New Addition, Nelsonville. Friends may call Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
